About Chiasso Coffee

Chiasso, pronounced (Kee-ar-so) is Italian for “create an uproar”. It is also the name of a small town on the Swiss Italian border, and since it has come to mean superb fresh roasted coffee.

Chiasso Coffee Roasters was established in Brisbane, Australia by Bevan and Jeanette Sands. Chiasso Coffee was established in New Zealand in 1997.

The aim of the venture was to provide freshly roasted gourmet coffee to the
increasingly discerning coffee drinking public, in a way that would create a point of difference. These aims were achieved by creating an identity in the market place by way of unsurpassed quality and presentation.

Under the guidance of a master roaster in Monza, Italy, Chiasso has
developed its own distinct blends of coffee, using only the finest beans from around the world.

As packaging and design solutions were introduced, an aggressive marketing strategy began to see the Chiasso brand gain shelf space in some of Brisbane’s leading delicatessens and design stores. Subsequently Chiasso Coffee has gained a significant share of the very competitive Brisbane coffee market, including many cafes and restaurants and numerous corporations and companies.

Chiasso Coffee continues to spread throughout Australia.

The Chiasso roasteries boast an extensive range of coffee accessories, in most cases these are sourced directly from the manufacturer, which means the best possible pricing structure for Chiasso customers.

The exciting growth of the business has seen the introduction of Chiasso in both Australia and New Zealand, with further expansion into other Asian/Pacific countries.
